A Word from the Owner

When I opened Kern transmission in 1992 I decided that my motto would be “Dedicated to Quality.”

My goal was to provide the people of Bakersfield a Transmission shop where they could go to get high quality repairs at a fair price, and also to give my customers the very best customer service possible. My goals haven't changed. Over the years transmissions have changed dramatically with the advent of computer controls and an ever increasing number of gears available. BUT, one thing hasn't changed, and that is my commitment to customer service and building the best quality transmissions available at a fair price.

Kern Transmission is a family owned and operated business. Tess Carroll (my lovely wife) is the office and customer service manager. Nobody will try harder to help you get your transmission problems solved. If you are having problems with your transmission call us for help, we can get the problem resolved, and get you back on road as quick as possible. Ken Carroll is the owner, transmission rebuilder and chief diagnostician. He started in the transmission business in 1980 and has continued his education in the field by attending technical seminars and classes on a regular basis.
